Hello, everyone! I'm Ceren. I study bachelor’s degree program in two major fields of study: Political Science and International Relations, and Economics at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am passionate about travelling abroad and exploring new cultures, senses of art, and foods. In order for being closely acquainted with the city that I'd like to explore by the help of locals, and having some difficulties of limited budget as a college student, I chose to join the Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly like European Cinema, my favorite directors are Ingmar Bergman, Jean-Luc Godard, Krzysztof Kieslowski and Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Besides I appreciate the Iranian New Wave with its successful directors such as Abbas Kiarostami, Asghar Farhadi and Bahman Ghobadi.

Among writers, Dostoevsky, Toni Morrison, Iris Murdoch and Virginia Woolf are my all time favorites. Orhan Pamuk is also a Turkish writer who I've read most of the works with pleasure.
