Hello hello! 😊 I’m Ceren, currently living in Austin and pursuing my master’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Originally from Istanbul, I hold a double degree in Industrial Design and Urban Planning. I’m a curious person with a love for culture, nature, literature, arts, design, dance, quirky activities, and trying new foods and drinks.

My interests are diverse and ever-evolving. I’m on a journey from vegetarianism to veganism, driven by my love for animals and the environment. Nature is my happy place, and I spend a lot of time outdoors, exploring Austin’s natural beauty (and trying to make the most of it!). 🌿

Currently, I’m working on my thesis, which explores how embodied movement can help us coexist better with other beings (more-than-humans!) and reshape the way we design—from urban spaces to everyday objects. I love immersing myself in different cultures, whether it’s through street markets in South America, traditional crafts in Asia, or discovering the local scene wherever I go.

I’m passionate about pole dance, which can be tricky while traveling, but I love the challenge! I enjoy collaborating on creative projects, and I’ve had the chance to live in Istanbul, Valencia, Berlin, and Austin. I thrive on connecting with people from all walks of life, sharing stories, and gaining new perspectives.

I’m open-minded, curious, and excited to meet new people—whether it’s over coffee or while exploring hidden city gems. If you host me, expect good conversation, design insights, and maybe even a spontaneous dance session! I’m happy to help out, share meals, and make new friends along the way.

I’m passionate about art, books, movies, and spending time with animals. I’ve been learning pole dance recently, and it’s been a joy! I don’t eat animals and try to avoid animal products, so I prefer not to see them consumed in my home.

Música, películas y libros

I enjoy a mix of independent films, experimental pieces, and visually striking movies. Sometimes I like easygoing, light-hearted films too. When it comes to music, I listen to all kinds depending on my mood. I used to have strong favorites, but now I’m more into exploring new things. I’m always open to recommendations and love chatting about films, books, and music with others!

I love creating things, whether it’s painting, DIY projects, or exploring new crafts—though I get it, this might not be as practical while traveling! 😄 If you’re interested in learning about Turkish culture or language, I’d be happy to share. I also have a pole at home, so if you’re curious and want to try, I can help you get started!

I enjoy learning new skills from different people and cultures and love sharing what I’ve picked up. For example, I can make Karjalanpiirakka from Finland or a vegan Fideuà from Spain. Let’s cook, create, and exchange knowledge together!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can cook some good vegan foods.

I used to make good cocktails, now i prefer to drink wine or coffee with people i guess:)

I can share my travelling experiences.

You can always use kitchen, bathroom and other places as your home. Just please do not eat animals here.

If you need i can give you towels, shampoo etc.

We can go out together, we may join some events together.
