ABOUT ME

I've just finished my PhD in microbiology and now I'm working as a researcher in Switzerland.

I'm easy going, I like to meet new people (who doesn't say that about themselves) and my friends describe me as someone with wide interests.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep your eyes open, you can always find something new and interesting.

Interests

I picked up a lot of outdoor interests living in Vancouver including telemark skiing, hiking and horse riding. Also motorcycles, fiddle, science, swing dancing, reading, board games (yeah Settlers!) and movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I must say I'm a sucker for popcorn flicks and Joss Whedon, but also classics like Seven Samurai and Lawrence of Arabia.

Books - Harry Potter, Jane Austen, Neil Gaiman plus non-fiction books on whatever is my current side interest (biofuels, economics, recently I read a good one about the luxury goods industry)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, not really amazing but I had a recent accident of being on a run-away horse galloping down a road and then we completely flipped over into a ditch (not recommended).

I've also done hiking and ski touring in British Columbia which was pretty fun.
