Overview
About Me
Hello there! I have been an avid traveller for the past 18 years, living and working all over the globe. I am a Yoga Instructor and Massage Therapist, and for the last 10 years, these and holistic therapy have been my vocation. My 'work' has taken me through Europe, to the British Virgin Islands, Central America and, most recently India, where I am now a manager for a yoga retreat centre. This means I live in India for 6-7 months of the year, and I work remotely for the rest of the time. (By the way - I'm 40 years old - not 21!!! I can't see how to change it!)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travel and I love meeting new people - even better like-minded people. Those I have had the pleasure to meet on CS tend to be easy-going, fun-loving and open to new experiences and alternative ideas...I would like to think of myself as the same. Also, due to my transient lifestyle, CS is a valuable platform that offers the opportunity to travel and experience places from a local's perspective, rather than that of a tourist.
I have not yet hosted other Couch Surfers - however, when I return to India, I will have some space to offer and will open my doors to fellow CSers

Music, Movies, and Books
Ben Harper, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, Danit, East Forest, Ray LaMontagne.
I cannot pretend to be very well viewed on movies, but I do like a romantic comedy (Love Actually), documentary/true story (The Way) or golden oldie (Casablanca).
I go through phases with reading: Charge through books for a few weeks, then nothing for a couple of months...This is out of date, but the last one of note was The Night Circus, bu Erin Morganstern - captivating!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived Hurricane Irma!
Teach, Learn, Share
As a yoga instructor, I love to teach. We are all our own greatest teachers, but as an instructor, I can help guide them into overcoming challenges that once seemed unsurpassable. It is a gift: to watch peoples light grow.
I love to conserve in the local language of the places where I travel - I cannot promise to be particularly fluent, but I will try!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have MANY travel stories to share :) I love swapping stories with other travel-lovers, especially over a glass of wine...or few!
I am very willing to share yoga with hosts (before the wine :p).
