Overview
About Me
Right now I'm working towards a PhD in psychology at the University of British Columbia. I love to experience new places and push myself outside of my comfort zone. I've traveled all over the world and want to see even more!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going to an academic conference in DC where I will be trained to advocate for psychological research as a resource in informing public policy. On my final day there I'll even meet with a representative to put my skill to the test! I'm really looking forward to using my education to make the world a better place.
Interests
I'm vegan and I love cooking! It's a hobby of mine to try and convert omnivore dishes into vegan versions and see if they pass a food equivalent of the Turing test.
I also really love hiking and nature photography. The world is a beautiful place and there's always more to see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I taught English in Japan before starting grad school. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much during my time there. There are tons of beautiful mountains and lakes to explore, and cherry blossom season was mind blowing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy talking and sharing experiences, and I also love games. I'm passionate about cooking vegan food. I'm also told that my massages are relaxing and rejuvenating (both for humans and fuzzy pet friends!)
