ABOUT ME

After too much work and too little sleep over the past few years due to much overtime working in the hospital it´s time for me to put much more emphasis on more important things in life. Climb more work less. Travel more work less. I quit my job as an anesthetist four years ago and now work as a freelancer (sounds funny but it works) but just enough to keep my stomach full.
The rest of my time I go out to enjoy everthing there is. I love nature but also enjoy city life. I love good food and good wine but luckily also love to do sports so it doesn´t show that much.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I said I try to be on the road as much as possible. This means that I am not much at home. If I am in Hamburg though you are always welcome at my place.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is The Glass Bead Game by Hesse. It´s so deep and rich in humanity I could cry everytime I read it.
Unfortunately I am not very musical, I can´t play any instrument but love listening to music of any kind. At the moment my favorites are Element of Crime (a German band), Johnny Cash and G Love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Himalaya, nothing is more amazing, more breathtaking than this vastness of nothingness. Looking at Annapurna or the Chomolungma made me so shy and small.

Well, I know a bit about medicine, especially about anesthesia, since this is my job.
