About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See as many places in the world as possible, meet as many beautiful people as possible!
ABOUT ME
I am a very calm, content and laid back individual. There are not many things that stress me out or get to me. I'm a great believer in mindful living (living in the moment), and my attitudes, beliefs and my world view is greatly influenced by Eastern philosophies. I am vegan, but not preachy about it. It's my personal, well-informed choice, not a cult! Although I feel strongly about it for many different reasons, I'm not in the habit of trying to brain wash anyone unless they specifically want to know about it :-) I'm health conscious to the extent where I don't particularly drink, never smoke or take any drugs. I have nothing against a few drinks now and again, but I never drink to get drunk. First thing you would notice about me is that I am somewhat 'alternative' in appearance - I'm somewhere between a goth and a metaller. I've never been 'conventional' :-) But please don't let that put you off as I'm all fluffy and pink on the inside! I work in promoting holistic wellbeing and happiness. I practice yoga and love spending time in nature.
PHILOSOPHY
Appreciate each moment, notice the little things, see the sun rise each morning as if it was the first time you're seeing it. Stop and smell the flowers as often as possible. Laugh until your belly hurts. Love until you love the whole world."We are here to awaken from our illusion of separateness." — Thich Nhat Hanh "Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth... This is the real message of love." — Thich Nhat Hanh "Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" --- and find that there is no death." - Eckhart Tolle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hoping to do lots of surfing now that I have officially joined the site. Would love to host, but unfortunately I have no space at the moment :-( Would gladly meet people for a coffee and a chat though!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed when I visited Philadelphia with a friend of mine who was a couchsurfer. I was dubious about it when my friend suggested it, but it was a great experience which has now prompted me to become a couchsurfer myself!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I organised a 'FREE HUGS' day and with a team of 10 people we gave out 1000 hugs! :-)I have been very fortunate over the years to get the opportunity to travel as often as I have done. Every time I visit a new place it is an amazing experience, but the things that always amaze me the most are places of natural beauty. Some of my favourite moments include:- swimming in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland whilst watching the sunset, Gullfoss waterfalls, and actually my entire Iceland experience!- standing on the cliffs of Galway Bay in Ireland- getting lost in Central Park in New York- getting lost in Marakkech - going on a boat trip of the swamps of New Orleans and meeting lots of alligators, climbing to the very top of Huayna Picchu etc etc
