About Me

I recently got my degree in Philosophy, I'm currently studying the guitar at the Conservatory of Pesaro, in Italy.
Besides reading books and plucking nylon strings, I also enjoy practicing some sports (mostly running), hanging out with people and wasting my time in a lot of different ways.

I travel to meet new people, to better understand the cultures, to see the things I've learned about in history books, to discover the places I've only heard of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered CS thanks to a former flatmate. We used to host couchsurfers in our shared flat some years ago and it turned out to be a great experience: it's just the best way to get to know people from all over the world when you're not traveling. So I decided to join the community and now here I am!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen and play mostly Classical music, but I also love Jazz and Rock music, especially Progressive Rock.

My reading interests range from ancient Greek literature to 20th Century poetry and novels to philosophy stuff and other nonfiction writing. I also read news and articles on various newspapers from different countries on a daily basis.

My movie culture is considerably narrower than my music and literary culture, but I definitely enjoy watching movies. I'm not a fan of a particular genre, I rather tend to focus on directors: I shall mention Federico Fellini, Mario Monicelli, Sergio Leone and Milos Forman among my favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Listening to - and playing - the music of J. S. Bach, which for me counts pretty much as the benchmark of awesomeness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I might help you to find your way on the guitar if you're a beginner, while with skilled players I never miss the chance to exchange some practice and performing tips and to discuss anything related to the guitar's repertoire and the technique.
If you wish to practice and improve your Italian, I'll be happy to help you in the process. Also, I can give you plenty of tips regarding gestures, which are an essential part of the Italian language as much as the syntax or the grammar is.
If you like Italian food, we might also cook something together. And then eat it.
In case you're somehow fond of philosophy and you feel like discussing some philosophy stuff, you'll find a (hopefully competent in the field you're interested in) interlocutor in me.

I'm always trying to improve my language skills, especially in German. But my English needs some practice too!
