About Me

ABOUT ME

I live in Salem, MA, and work in Lynn, MA. I love the North Shore- I love being near the beach and near Boston. Salem is a great city, mostly because it is a good walking city with museums, cafes, and bars. I am a middle school French teacher. This is my first year, and there are some rough days, but overall I like it. My students crack me up, and I love getting to know them. Also, working in an inner city school makes for some great stories. My life is mostly about teaching right now. When I am not doing teacher-y things, I run, read, watch movies, occasionally write, go out in Boston or Salem, and just hang out.

PHILOSOPHY

you can have whatever you want, but no one is going to give it to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first got into couchsurfing 3 years ago when I studied abroad in Aix, France. I went to some surfer meetings there and it was great to meet some local people. I used couchsuring both times that I backpacked in Europe, and met some fantastic people. I have had a few surfers stay at my apartment in Salem, and it has always been a good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went to a few cs gatherings in Aix when I studied there. I met some great people, and it really helped me to practice speaking French and get to know the city better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence for a semester, which was wonderful. I love how vibrant everything is there. Really, I like everywhere I've ever been, but a few favorites are: London, Edinburgh, and Sarajevo. I'm backpacking through Europe for the month of June, so that list is soon to be revised.

Teach, Learn, Share

For teaching, I can teach some English or French. I've done a lot of peer-editing for creative writing, so if you'd like feed back on writing, I can do that.
Whatever you can teach, I'm probably interested in learning.
I can share good food and a love of literature.
