ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!
I was born in Warsaw, where I grew up. In 2011 I moved to Wroclaw to study Literature on "creative writing" faculty. I write some short stories, which brings me a lot of fun. At this time they're all ending in the box under my desk, but I feel that this is what I want to do in life and I hope some day I will. I finished music school, I play guitar, piano, I was trying some trumpet. I enjoy almoust every kind of music- from some classical jazz basics to contemporary electronic. I'm even trying to do some music sets on my computer and right now I am about to reactivate a band with a friend of mine. I appreciate good literature, I read a lot. My favourite writers I'd like to follow one day are Etgar Keret, Nicolas Gogol, Jack Kerouac. While reading I try to note down some sentences that seem important to me and on which I can learn a good way to write.
Sometimes I'm very sociable and talkative but when I have a bad day I don't speak to anyone I like to lie on bed and listen to some good music

I am interested in people. I like meeting them, associate with them, observe their behaviour, gestures, faces and then move all of that to the my stories. I think that might connect with my love for cinema and theatre. I like watching the way actors act on the scene, expressing their characters with mimics.
I was also trying some photography. I have an old Praktica, I have found somewhere in my house, a lomo and few years ago I finally bought a better SLR cannon camera.

feel free to add me as a friend! Each summer after my finals I'm going to a music festival at the polish sea- Open'er Festival. Last year me and my friends especially enjoyed Bjork, Bon Iver, Justice and SBTRKT. It's like a few days of total fun after all the exams.
I love movies, I watch almost all the new ones, I also like the classics, I always find time to go to cinema, it's like an addiction! From 4 years, every summer, I participate in one of the major polish film festival that takes place in Wrocław called New Horizons. I started as a volunteer and gradually I became to work as a coordinator of the event. One of my biggest wishes is to go to Sundance Film Fesitval in United States. During the school year I take part of a special film project: The Academy Of World Movies. It's a 8-semester long course of the whole cinema history. We started from early twenties and are moving one decade per a half. It's great experience and it become like a ritual for me to be at the cinema for about 5 hours every Wednesday evening.
About books I can talk forever, I'm studying Literature so I'm an expert. If you like them too, I believe we can spend long hours discussing!
I like shorts stories. I think they are the best way to express author's perception of life. Short stories are a bit like photos taken on a trip, they are fleeting, quick, sometimes sad or tragic, sometimes nostalgic, funny. They are like moments, like slap in the face, this is happening right here and right now and you even don't know how and why.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)

This year I was on a hitchhiking trip through Europe and it was amazing. It was my first time- we just had a basic schedule where to go. We passed Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and got back to Poland. I met so many interesting people and saw so many beautiful places. This summer I'm planning to do it again, but this time I have more courage to go somewhere further from home (Portugal...? )

Ucz innych, ucz się sam, udostępniaj

I can teach you few words in Polish, I can do quick tour around the city, I play the guitar if you have any instruments we can do jam session! I'm a little interested in modern architecture, so I can take you to some places at the city that are worth it, but are not described in a guide.
I don't think so that there is something about life, or my personal philosophy what I can teach, I don't see myself as a guru. On the other hand I believe in exchange, when you spend time with someone, you assume his beliefs, they can be bad or better than yours, but you exchange something and you become better than you were before.
