About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make a slideshow of my life fit the song "Blood of Cu Chulainn"
ABOUT ME
I'm a chemical engineer, I quit my job about a year ago to travel. With my girlfriend, I traveled through the Maritime provinces of Canada, then onto Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka and Egypt. I'm back in the US for a few months. We just moved to Golden, CO. I'll be going back to NZ and Japan for 2 months, before returning again to Colorado to re-enter the working world.
I love rock climbing and slacklining, and will teach anyone who is interested. I also enjoy brewing and drinking beer, tinkering with things, and general shenanigans. From playing video games to hanging off cliffs (and soon maybe skydiving) I'm bound to find enjoyment in most anything.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a member for several years, but have only received a few requests (I don't live anywhere particularly desirable) and have always been traveling when I received the requests.
We have a couch here in Golden, but it's not exactly a great place to stay as we're still unpacking. For now I'd like to meet some people in the Golden area during my few weeks of downtime before I hit the road again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My girlfriend and I first couchsurfed in Nova Scotia, and found it to be amazing! So far we've surfed in Canada, Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. I'll be looking for surfing hosts in New Zealand and Japan again soon.
I've met some great people, had some fun experiences. From having Peacocks wake us up in the morning to learning to surf in the shadow of Mt. Taranaki, Couchsurfing has been great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed 1000ft of the west slabs of mount Olympus (in Utah, US, not the legendary Mt. Olympus) without a rope, almost got bit by a rattlesnake and got chased by a mountain goat, all before noon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can take people out rock climbing, slacklining or camping. I'm also willing to demonstrate the finer points of sitting in a chair and drinking a beer.
What can you teach me?
