Born in a small city near Bucharest and raised in the crowded, confusing and wonderful capital.
Good student, occasionally bordering on geek.
Ex-troubled-teen who solved her dramas by reading a lot.
Former Erasmus student in Bruxelles, which I miss every day.
Previously hired in a chocolate-making corporation and student in Romania's first alternative university - http://cros.ro.
Previous student, then lecturer at Maastricht University.
Currently settling into life with my boyfriend in Basel.
Lucky enough to travel from a pretty young age.
Speaker of good English and tortured French, understand-er of basic Spanish.

The last movie I see is often my new favourite, so making a list is difficult. Off the top of my head, let's say Big Fish, Amelie, In Bruges, L'auberge espagnole, Stranger than Fiction, Everything is Illuminated, Little Miss Sunshine and Girls' and Guys' Guide to Getting Down.

Some of my favourite authors are Milan Kundera, Amelie Nothomb, Julian Barnes and Bill Bryson. I read a lot, so feel free to get me talking about books :D

Laying down on the roof of a boat on the Nile, watching the starry sky. Swimming in the warm Black Sea at sunrise. Smiling like an idiot every time my train approaches Brussels' North Station, no matter how often I visit.
