About Me

I studied mechanical engineering as MIT in Boston and in the fall I will return as a graduate student in business and engineering through the Sloan business school. For fun, I love anything with good food (cooking , eating, baking, especially learning new recipes!), I enjoy photography, cats, family time and board games.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like showing people around Boston and sharing with them all the local favorites. This summer when traveling abroad in Italy I hope to stay with locals wherever I go because when I travel I like to hear what they have to recommend for what I should do. I don't leave America only to stay in an American hotel/eat generic food/speak English! I want to *completely* immerse myself in the Italian culture, the heritage I so love!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love ALL music except heavy metal and slow music from the 70s (reminds me of an elevator). Currently I've been listening to a lot of Enrique Iglesias, shakira, pit bull, my boy Jason derulo, fall out boy, Beatles, jet, soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy... For TV I LOVE "game of thrones" and "parks and rec"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Graduate MIT and get into grad school...Heh. It was really hard! Hmm, other than that? I competed in a beauty pageant (Miss Boston, the local for miss America) and won People's Choice award. Not really that amazing but most people are surprised that I did that while going to school for engineering at MIT.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you host me and know a family recipe or a favorite dish and are willing to teach me, I would LOVE to learn from you! I will add you, if you want, to the cookbook I'm creating based on all the dishes I learn this summer! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you the recipes I will have learned by the time I stay with you! Perhaps we could cook breakfast or dinner together one day? I can also help clean the house/do dishes/help kids with their homework! And of course, if you ever come to Boston, you will always have a place to stay! ☺
