ABOUT ME

I am a very shy fellow at first. Once i feel at ease, i will open up a lot. I was born in san antonio, TX into an military family. My father was in the air force and my mother was tagging along building a family with him. We moved to Dayton, OH where i would spend all my time with my mother going around town. I played a lot with the neighborhood kids but i also enjoyed my own solitary time with my toys. We moved back to Texas when i was 6. things changed a lot. We lived with my grandparents in a small town south of san antonio. I have scattered but fond memories of that time. eventually we all moved back to san antonio where my father then went to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm. When he came back my parents got a divorce. My mother remarried and my father dated a whole bunch of women. My mother's new marriage brought a man who changed my family life as i knew it. I have three other sisters from that whom i love dearly. I lived with my father during highschool where i got my first camcorder and began making movies with a VCR and CD player. My father met a woman and this time whom we would marry having two children with her, a boy and a girl that i really don't know well. I have been in college for seven years. "lots of people go to college for seven years. -yeah they're called doctors" I am not an idiot i just went a round about way to college. staying at a community college for three years not taking major classes because they would not transfer. I worked at the library there and fell in love with books and the knowledge that could be obtained from them. eventually i made it to UNT where i majored in RTVFilm. I worked full time at the library at UNT. I moved back to San Antonio and began volunteering with SAY Si Youth Arts Program in their Media Arts Studio (MAS) I've helped with numerous video projects and got paid for a few of them.

PHILOSOPHY

i try to be cool. as in do unto others and respect other people's space and thoughts. though sometimes it's really hard because some people are just so. i try not to lie. i mainly try to live a good life.

Interests

I love art. and all of its mediums. film especially. movies have always been a part of my life. My mother loved watching movies and would let us watch whatever she did. My father always took us to movies on the weekends after the divorce which i guess it pretty standard. and my sister always had interest in the most intriguing popular films around.
i think too much. and possibly write too much. I love observing everything. i like to be in a place and think about all that could have occurred there. I love architecture.however I want to move beyond observation and into participation.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love a ton of movies. i like popular films from the past. not so much now. all genres. documentaries. experimentals. music is the same. i love all genres. i am a big fan of simon & garfunkel. i love new wave. popular 90s. country up until the mid 90s. soundtracks. classical. hip-hop. i love books for their knowledge and stories. bradbury is a favorite. i love steven kellog illustrated books.

Teach, Learn, Share

first off i am a bad oral communicator. I would like to teach people to observe their life and the things that surround it. but i wouldn't know how to teach that. i believe that we all can pick up on each other's thoughts. we are transmitters and receivers of thoughts and ideas, we just need to tune to the right station. i want to learn how to make the world a better place.
