HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've helped out a few CouchSurfers in the past who I met through a friend and really enjoyed it. I've got an open room now and thought it'd be fun to do the experience over again. Basically, I'm the kind of host who will tell you to stay the hell away from Bourbon, and move towards the light -- Frenchmen Street.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had two sets of guys stay with me who were doing a cross-country trip. It was a blast, especially getting to experience the city through another set of eyes.

I also work at a news station down here. It's a fun gig. Great hours too -- 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Friday.
