About Me
CURRENT MISSION
If you want to get maximum out of Prague in a short time, lemme know! I'd love to show you around.
ABOUT ME
From Slovakia, but living in Prague. Originally I am a teacher (I studied literature and languages - Slovak and English) but now I also work in the Internet business. And although I don't really teach any more, I love teaching very much.
I love Prague and I love cities. I would like to live a part of my life in the following cities: Barcelona, London and Istanbul, and continents: South America, most probably Ecuador or Chile.
I like these quotes (for various reasons): 'there are millions of suns left' by Walt Whitman; 'It is your mind that creates this world.' by Buddha (don't get me wrong, I ain't no buddhist), 'De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine; Domine, exaudi vocem meam.' from Psalm 130 and 'Utopeni stupaju po studniach k najvyssiemu' by Jan Gavura.
My favourite line from a film is 'You cannot find peace by avoiding life, Leonard.' (The Hours)
The older I get the simpler things I seek.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a Roman Catholic and I think it's still cool to be one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As a teacher I naturally love explaining things, that is why I enjoy very much taking people around Prague. So, if you happen to be visiting Prague for a day or two and you would like to get most of it, I'd be happy to take you around. I know places of interest, sightseeing, history, art, music and cool places to eat and drink.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have hosted once, but my place is very limited. I've been hosted though (in Sri Lanka, Copenhagen and Ireland). I have surfed with a few travellers in Prague (Brazil, Turkey, Russia, France, Egypt and Mexico). And I enjoyed it.
Interests
Literature, cooking (but not necessarily eating), the arts, absurd things.
I love travelling but not necessarily sightseeing. Someone once said that 'the road is the goal' and I totally agree. One day I would like to sail from Denmark to Greenland through Faroe Islands and Iceland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've walked the Camino Portugues alone and I think that that was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Well, I am a teacher, so I guess I always explain some things.
Learn: Ah, I am still looking for my place in the world. So, there's a lot of learning, right? And... languages, definitely.
Share: What I've seen, where I've been and whom I've met, what I've read.
