About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find crazy people ... for more silliness in life

ABOUT ME

She is ... 'disturbingly curious'. Talkative, too loud sometimes I guess. Into art without being an artist. A culture nerd, that enjoys museums & galleries, also for the sake of feeling so civilised and urbane afterwards. 'A smiling chap'. I rarely settle with an ordinary experience. 'You only got this one life' turn it into something awesome! I don't want to miss out a minute, hence there is always an activity on. Often enough I take time for myself though. Lazy peops and too laid back ones would feel disturbed by my energy :) Only once I was told to have a strong character - much more often I hear 'you're the first german I connect with'. Is it because there is Austrian blood running in my veins too?!While I need the city for entertainment I have to breath some fresh air and head out of the city, into the bush every now and then, before heading to work on Monday morning.

PHILOSOPHY

"Smile at people ... it confuses them" ...

Thanks Paolo Coelho ... "Live your Dreams. Transform your Life!"

"Today is the first day of the rest of my life" An old saying, I admit. But it makes me enjoy consciously every bunch of hours between waking up and falling asleep.
Once, I came across the list of a very sage person, of things to do every day.

Voilà, the most important of tiny things making my life worth living it

1. read a poem a day
2. listen to a piece of music or look at a piece of art
3. eat good food
4. touch the earth consciously
5. let go
6. love with an open heart!

This life is far too short to hesitate. Let's do it... let's get something moving!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i surf. i host. i couch. i smile.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

oh yes I have, thanks God! And it changed my understanding of travelling.

My first SURFING experience was in Mexico after I had HOSTED already some people here and then earlier during my stay in France.

What great experiences, thanks to CS I had so many marvellous encounters.
Mexicans that made me feel like we met years ago,
Americans in Poland showing me the best kebap in town,
then in southern Germany feeling like being on holiday and having pasta for breakfast,
and myself,
being the guide for a CS-friend, travelling in Germany ...

... and this goes on :D

Interests

france and all that comes along with it !!! :D
what else?
arthouse cinema, picknick, a nice exhibition on sunday afternoons, traveling - a nobrainer on CS :D , booksbooksbooks, going to theater, swimming without matrons crossing my lane, strolling across (flea-)markets, discovering tourist-free bars for real atmosphere, walking through the streets just right after a summer rain ... What do you think is missing in that list???

What I am not interested in?
Hanging around on the couch and missing out on all what's listed above. After all, a couch is made for surfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

last MoViE I enjoyed was *the concert*
last bOoK I did not want to end was *the book thief*
last SoNg heard (...admittingly pretty random choice - could have been anything else except heavy metal ...) can't get you off my mind - lenny kravitz

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

that's the topic to rescue the conversation when there is no more to say #:D

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach 'how to see the world from a child's perspective'. Wanna teach, how to ........... How to communicate in sign language, at least the aussie way. How to do best mousse au chocolat ever - with a frenchie recipe. How to talk music without having a clue, and how to walk along exhibitions without having any background.

I would love to learn 'how to be patient', then how to roll a cigarette. Sing in tune, even though sing out of tune can be as funny. And how to enjoy life even more.

I enjoy sharing 'my home', enjoy exihibts and arty stuff. Enjoy CS, when hosting becomes a mission with people where it just clicks. when you wanna have more days together you can look out to. And surfing just makes you enjoy the middle of nowhere. Enjoy the normal day in a big city. Wanna share how to best survive in a conservative corporate world with having our CS esprit. And share my last sip of wine....
