Overview
About Me
Hi everyone, my name is Chandu. I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia but after a trip to Japan last year have caught the travel bug. I am particularly keen to travel to Korea, China and Taiwan! I also have a vested interest in improving my rather rudimentary Chinese, and am excited to end up in crazy situations, get lost in strange places and meet amazing people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
At the moment, kinda want to try and find a place to stay in Taiwan so I can exchange language and culture with the locals. In the future, I would like to open up my home to travellers from far and wide (when I have a home of my own, that is 😂)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: into a lot of things. Off the top of my head, favorite artists range from Ed Sheeran to EXO, MCR to Avenged Sevenfold. Chinese music, Kpop, anything really.
Movies: Into comedy, romance, superhero, horror, epic fantasy mainly but happy to watch anything!
Books: Not a whole lot in recent times, mainly fantasy world type stuff in similar sorts of veins to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went gokarting through the streets of Tokyo! Wild times.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am studying to be a doctor at the moment, so I have some knowledge of health and the human body. Beyond that, I have dabbled in many different fields throughout the years including but definitely not limited to, computer science, mathematics, various sports (particularly basketball) and music. Most of all, I'm interested in language and how it brings us all together. I'd love to hear stories about what life is like for people outside my own culture!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer you my company, my native English conversational skills, a sympathetic ear, stories of growing up as a second generation immigrant in Australia and endless gratitude. 😁
