Overview
About Me
My name is Chance and I have lived all around the western US, as well as abroad, but now based out of Nucla, Colorado and hoping to open my family's home to anyone in need passing through! Please read the My Home section for more information before messaging if you are interested in being hosted.
I have a simple passion to explore the world and experience cultures unlike my own. We all have something to learn from each other! I'm always looking to make friends and say yes, you never know where life will take you.
I try to consistently stay curious as I go through life, always willing to try new things and lead with an open heart.
My philosophy is that the experiences we have will always be the most valuable things in our lives. And when they are shared with others, they become especially precious :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Human connection is so important but becoming increasingly rare in its true form. I hope to make wonderful friends and connections all around the world and create a web of people that know no matter where they are in the world, there's always a friend.
Interests
I love to dance, and feel through natural movement patterns. House dance and music is especially dear to me, all about love and connection.
Trying to live life in ways that are as natural as possible while still experiencing the pleasures of life. Interested in simple living, barefoot lifestyle, and a return to our basic necessities without much else.
Otherwise I'm always up for a good movie, book, or music and love to discuss them too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Challenged myself to hitchhike from Istanbul to Tbilisi! The trip ended up including a tour all around Georgia with my lovely partner, a detour north to hike in Kazbegi, and an extension south into Armenia to Yerevan. Also found myself suddenly joining an Uzbek convoy for over 24 hours on my way back across Turkey!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer language exchange as I am a native English speaker, fluent in Chinese (Mandarin), and very interested in learning other languages.
Also, I love to cook (and eat) so I can always help out around the kitchen.
