About Me
My wife and I recently finished a year long road trip around the U.S. in a bus that we converted into our domicile. We have set down some temporary roots here in Pittsburgh to save money and make plans for the next step of our grand journey as a married couple. Wifey is native to Pittsburgh and I am exploring and learning to love the Iron City. We are looking forward to hosting this winter and meeting new people as we introduce them to our new circle of friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couch surfing to meet new friends, experience new points of view and maintain a network on connections with like-minded explorers out there in the world.
Interests
I am a maker at heart. I must tinker and create to thrive. I am interested in welding, construction, sewing, leatherwork, joinery, painting, sculpting, building and collaborating with other creative people. I am also a lover of all things outdoors: camping, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, skateboarding, cycling. Anything that is exercise and gets your body moving really. I also love cooking, eating out, drinking nice wines, craft beer and prohibition era cocktails. I also try to read and have seen every episode of the Cosmos at least ten times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Burning Man in 2011 and it really blew me away. I had been each year since but skipped 2015 to travel in a bus with my wife.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach surfers about dashboard astronomy, joinery techniques, power tool safety, and how to craft excellent cocktails. I am interested in learning any and all things worth talking about. I will share stories, food, and a drink with my fellow travelers.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can help to repair most things, can regale a room with tales from the road, and of course we love to show off our bus, which is always a work in progress. We are establishing a new homefront and will soon have extra bikes to share and a knowledge of the Iron City. We love to show people around and share stories, meals, and fires.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland
