ABOUT ME

My name is KIM, JUNG CHAN and south korean.
I'm exchange student in leeuwarden, Netherlands from Aug, 2012 to July, 2013.

I'm in open-mind person and this is cetificated by my friends. In the group that i have been in, I always made a lot of friends and deep connection with them.
In this time, I hope to know about Europe and travel to various places. I'll be thankful to your invitation.
After exchange student, I'll go back Seoul, the best city in Korea and if my host have a plan to visit Korea, I will be your perfect tour guide. I live in seoul 15 years.

PHILOSOPHY

My first rule in my life is 'Do things that I can do now'. That's why I always try to do something new and make interesting experience.

Plus, Second rule iHs'Be a energy spot'. Energy spot means that person who makes others be energetic. However I should develop my English and knowledge about European culture, I always try to do my best to be Energy Spot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am student and like to trip. To people like me, CS is really good gate to feel other culture.

Frankly to say, I like more to trip alone than with others. It makes me more sensitive but sometimes I felt lonely. But, with couchsurfing, I can overcome my loneliness when I talked with my host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made friends in the Netherlands and Belgium via couchsurfing. Those are all friends in Facebook and we sometimes ask each others' condition. I can socialize more with CouchSurfing and feel like Cosmopolitan.

Interests

I really like sports. I'm good at Snowboarding, like to see baseball and enjoy cycling.
I'm heavy user of SNS(FB, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM) and like to take picture by my camara.
Plus, I really like beer, so my current mission in Europe is to get all beer in Europe. I know it is impossible because there are numerous beer in Europe. But I won't give up.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like dancing and enjoy clubbing with electronica music. In Korea, I was crazy about club and used to go Dancing club at least twice in a week. Of course, In the Netherlands, I have tried.

I love Korean Movies too. You might know about 'OLD BOY', the famous movie from Korea. and I hope to talk with you about Korean entertainment industry and culture. Of course, I can let you know how to 'Gangnam Style' dance. :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw the blog. The writer of that travelled all Europe although he has only 4,000 EURO. He used CS, kick-board, hitchhiking. Travel in Europe sometimes needs a lot of money. But he shows me that passion and communication is more important that money.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a student in Sungkyunkwan University that is based in traditional school in Chosun dynasty(1400s-1900s). I am familiar with korean culture and oriental politeness.
