ABOUT ME

As of Februrary 3rd 2009 i had left my hometown Boise,ID and had bought a one way ticket to Kahului, Maui where i have lived for the past year, where i have been working saving money (kind of) and really living in paradise. I have grown and have learned so much from mother maui and it has givin me the next nudge to see more of this beautiful earth. March 7th I fly out to Fiji where i will be spending a week for some surf and to go back to living on the beach. March 15th I arrive in Auckland, New Zealand where i will be surfing and backpacking all around. After three months i will then continue on to Melborn, Australia. We will be hanging out on that side of the country for a month and a half as we work our way up to Sydney where we depart for Bali. This is where we are hopefully meeting up with our Buddies scott and cody and Russ for a month long brother reunion. Then to Nepal and to Europe. THis trip is my first big travel extravaganza and i cannot wait to see all the amazing things that are waiting to appear to me and all the new friends i am going to make!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have never really used the website for couchsurfing because the second we got to maui some awesome people just picked us right up and let us stay at there place, then i jumped around a little bit around the island and just met the right people that always had a spot for me. After i had saved up some money i got a place of my own. Each house i have lived in from then on has been full of all these aweesome people who have been moving through or had just flew out on a one way and had no place to stay. Also at the time i had no way of access to the internet so it was all just through friends of friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

only 2 but they were amazing, one in new zealand were they came amd saved me and my mate out of the rain bought a case of beer and took us to there warm house for some hot food, then dropped us off at the bus stop at 7am thanks to tim and the boys in Paihe! And the other was with olly in melbourne, his place to stay was quite difficult to get to but he guieded us through the whole thing with just two pay phone calls which was great because we were broke at the time, a train to yarra juntion, hitchhike up the highway then walk 2miles downa dirt road to camp eurika!! where we camped all weekend and made amazing friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

road tripped new zealand for three months< hiked abel tasman< mt> cook and milford sound!
worked with an amazing australian family outside of byron bay on a permaculture farm< fully sustainable living situation> for six weeks and built a house out of clay and straw! island hoped around indonesia with my two best mates and my girlfriend around bali< lumbock and the gillies! amazing mushroom shakes! hiked 30 days through the himalayas in nepal on the annapurna circuit, thorang la pass 5416meters!!
