About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be bold enough to live by my convictions and to laugh with myself
ABOUT ME
Hmmm, Friends say I'm a spunky little lady with a pretty optimistic outlook on life. My loves include my parents and gramma, close friends, children, and plants. Growing up my family moved around once every two or three years on average. As a teenager I lived in an American bubble in Japan, Fussa City. Since then I have been in AmeriCorps for a couple of years in the south and Boston and have gone back to school to finish my degree with a focus on community and diversity studies.
PHILOSOPHY
Solidarity not Charity
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to this community, but I'd like to meet more folks and offer my couch for people to be cozy on. This is already something I practice with friends/acquaintances.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Very very little-only met up for a cup of coffee and chat with a wonderful human being in Seattle.
Interests
I have been working in close community with others on issues surrounding both social and environmental justice. I enjoy being intentional about how I treat the earth, but I'm weary of environmentalists movements leaving out large groups of people, often labeled "minorities". My hope is that we can all become more inclusive and to listen to the untold stories in our world.
