Simple Living, High thinking is my philosophy! I can walk miles in my shoes for you, if you can add value and energy in my life...
I like philosophizing and live by some principles, the flip side I strive to keep pushing my comfort zones. I am open minded, social and disciplined person.. Wherever I am, I love getting up in the morning, putting on my shoes and going for a run! I end my day with a journal that is rich of the most ordinary people, living the most ordinary life with extra-ordinary stories they shared! Water is my God and lakes, rivers, beaches are places of worship!

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

As a young naive traveller, I tried couchsurfing three years ago for my first international visit to Poland! Milan and Anna were my firsts hosts, and was amazed how people come to trust in you and it just builds on! I am convinced that there are wonderful good people in this world.. when you meet them on your journeys, you weave your own story!

I like to evolve perspectives but adapting to various cultures and ways of thinking, than having biased opinions generated by media.

I dunno if I will be able to visit the 200 odd countries in the world, but if I meet at least a 100 people from different countries, I experience the entire world :)
And couchsurfing is the best platform for such opportunities!

As a student I couldn't host anyone before, now I surely can!

Interessi

I spend most of my time reading, researching in in Neuroeducation, which is my current fav! I am a physicist , dancer, listener!
I wall-warli paint, sketch and am making some metal sculptures!
I enjoy cooking. Have Indo-German-Canadian-Nepali cooking nights with my students and its amazing how people share the love for food!
Photography, Cycling and Ginny and Bella (my lovely dogs) give me the energy for a lifetime..
Intelligent, Charismatic, Self- motivated, logical individuals get my attention.

Musica, film e libri

Folk Music gives me the calm and peace I look for sometimes. I enjoy Indi-Pop or soft rock on my runs and just instrumental when I am working!

Movies- Countless! Into the Wild, Gravity, October Sky, Marley and Me, Hachiko, Before Sunrise-Before Sunset, Argo are my all time favourites. Kahaani, Queen, Pk, 3 Idiots, Kai Po Che are my fav Bollywood movies!

I have read most books of Paulo Cohelo, Ayn Rand, Jeffrey Archer, JK Rowling (of course! Potter world in my blood!), Elizabeth Gilbert, Ruskin Bond, R K Narayan, Arundhati Roy, Conan Doyle, Stephen Hawking, Carl Sagan, Sam Harris, Murakami

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Embarked on a 14 day expedition to Antarctica in March 2016 with a global team for climate change and sustainability! Witnessed climate change live, saw the toughest species on Earth - Penguins and infinite ice bergs! And yes, took the Polar plunge challenge and dived into -2deg cel ocean water in Antarctica!

I have been a part of the team to set up an EBase in the Third Pole- Himalayas.
I have trekked the coldest driest place in India-Ladakh and worked on Earth buildings in the region..

I like to take off from my work whenever possible and backpack n travel.

Adventure activities keeps my adrenaline pumped. Bungee Jumping, Scuba diving, Night kayaking, Snorkelling, Sea Walking, Rappelling, Rock Climbing, River Rafting are a few things I have experienced and absolutely loved it!
