I'm from South Africa moved to the Algarve Portugal in 2020.

My 83yr old father is from Austria and has not been to Europe in over 50 years. He's finally coming over to visit me and I would love to go with him to Austria, it'll be my first time.

I'd love to meet some cool people that can add to the experience, some tips and advice would be great.

We won't run out of things to talk about and will surely have a really nice time.

Happy to contribute... as well as to be either social or give you your space. I'm easy going, tidy, love a good conversation and to cook. My dad makes really delicious Austrian food.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I have not seen my dad in 3 years since relocating to Portugal. I'm really excited to see him, he is the absolute best, funniest, sweetest and coolest old man out there. You'll absolutely love him in all his weirdness.

His kids are all sponsoring his trip. It's a bit of a stretch, so looking at ways to make it all a bit more cost effective and still be able to show him a great time, as we do not have loads of resources.

He is dying to see his home country after all this time. I really want to help make that happen for him. I also don't want him to go alone as he is not that versed with technology.

I'm not very fussy, happy to even bring along a blow up mattress and crash on the floor... or share a bed with my dad haha strangely enough. Obviously we'd be grateful for something nicer but just grateful for a place to lay our head.
