About Me

ABOUT ME

Hey guys,

Currently in my 2nd year in University, studying Architecture. I generally think that life is too short to remain in one place for an extended period of time, so when I'm free I tend to like reading up about other countries in preparation for my next trip. I enjoy reading up on current affairs, histories, cultures pretty much humanities subjects.

Travelling is probably one of the most important thing in my life.

I've been to Tokyo, Hongkong, Bangkok, Bali, a couple of states in Malaysia, Shanghai, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Suzhou... AND!!! a confirmed trip to Italy in May 2014...

Bali is probably one of my most favourite place to go for a short vacation...

PHILOSOPHY

What though the radiance that was once so bright, be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendour in the grass or glory in the flower; we shall not grief, but rather find strength in what remains behind ~ William Wordsworth

Dreams and determination are the greatest weapons that helps us fight the battle for success. Life is just too short for regrets.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a mini obsession with military documentaries.
Stuff like "Generation Kill", "Inside Combat Rescue" can have me hooked for a couple of hours on end.

And because I simply love looking at gorgeous sun/sand/surf "Bondi Rescue" is also something I enjoy watching a lot.

I read a very wide variety of books. From psychology ones like "The power of Habit" to Architectural magazines such as "El Croquis", really anything that catches my eye in the book store.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bali, Indonesia -- Amazing Moment No.1
I know a lot of people enjoy staying in Kuta a lot. But personally, My favourite has got to be Seminyak, the double six district. Its a quaint place in comparison to the bustling Kuta. But I have such beautiful memories in the place.

The best has got to be chatting with a bunch of locals and travellers along the double six beach with a beer and a jaw-dropping sunset view.

Da Nang, Vietnam -- Amazing moment No.2
We were staying in a hostel just in front of a whole street of local people. So one morning, I decided to take my camera and walk into the alleyways of the local residential district.

It was before school started for the locals so a lot of children came running out to see who's the weird foreign girl walking around their front yard. And because I was using a Nikon DSLR, they've probably new seen a camera that big and can do an instant replay of the images, I was swarmed by eager kids that really are the most adorable and lovely people I've ever met.

They were riding their bikes beside me as I walked, laughing and babbling to me in Vietnamese, of which I utterly could not understand a single word off.

You see what life is like when you venture off the beaten path. When you truly open up your heart and yourself to the local people and culture, you learn so much and understand so much more. Those hours in Da Nang was completely unplanned and on impulse, but they are some of the most memorable and amazing hours in my entire 21 years of life.

Skydiving on the beach of Sydney - Amazing moment 3
This is one of the best trips of my life with once of the craziest moments of any of my past travels...

Skydiving is amazing, anyone who has a healthy heart should really just go and try it...

Teach, Learn, Share

I generally think that anybody has a story to share, and with every story comes unique experiences that allows people to learn from. No one's too young or too old to do anything new.

As for teaching... I'm still learning about life myself, so I probably can't teach you anything but I'd love to learn and experience with you=D
