About Me

My name is Chanice (pronounced like Shaw-niece). I love travelling, dogs and good food!
I also enjoy hikes, local nature and paddle boarding.

If you're a visitor, welcome to Edmonton! There’s lots to do here and it’s a huge city, so there is a little something for everyone :)

I moved to Edmonton in 2020 and now live with my wonderful boyfriend Albert. We both have very diverse backgrounds in travel and we love the outdoors.

1) My house offering is a spare bedroom with a single queen bed and a private bathroom. I provide towels and shower products if needed. I have placed that two can stay here - you'll have to be okay with Sharing a bed, I hope that's okay!

2) I can provide some food, but I don't usually cook meat, so you'll need to buy your own.
I typically allow my guests to eat whatever food is available and in the house, what's mine is yours!

3) I have a full sets of keys for guests. Please try not to lose them!

4) As of right now, the house is not safe for young children.

5) Smoking in my home is not allowed. I will gladly provide a space for you outside my home, however, smoking indoors causes severe allergens for both myself and guests that visit. Thank you for respecting this rule! **Note: vaping is okay!**

6. We are 420 friendly! But as stated above, please do this outside and not indoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, I love travelling, and I love new friends, and couchsurfing offers everything. I love connecting with others and seeing new ways of life as often as I can.
A friend recommended this to me a few years back and I've been addicted ever since.

I have gained a lot of personal growth as well as communal growth engaging with this community and I feel incredibly blessed for my experiences thus far as both a host and a visitor.

Interests

I am a lover of new and unique adventurers, whether I am your host or your surfer, I would always love to do some thing with you that's unique or special to you or where you live. Perhaps where I live! Hidden gems and special memories are always the best part of a trip. I'm always going to prefer to stay or host people with a unique way of life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have a lot of pride in my successful climb up the tiger temple in south Thailand. It was a lot of hard work but the view was so worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook you traditional Swedish meals!
I can also adapt said Swedish meal to accommodate vegan, dairy free, or gluten free diets!
Albert is a fantastic cook as well and has traditional Korean family recipes that he practices often.

I personally believe that all sharing with good intention holds equal value.
I am not expecting anything from you but your best self. If you can teach me something, or share an incredible story, this is probably the greatest gift I could receive and one of the most memorable gifts I have received from past surfers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share a piece of my life with you and I hope you’ll share the same with me.
If you are open to it, I’d love to cook for you as this is something I’ve always enjoyed getting as a host as well. Especially a meal that is true to your roots.
Communal living has been a huge part of my life in the past and contributing to a space with love and care is not just an offer, but an expectation.
