ABOUT ME

We are:
Channah, a 24-year-old female living in Amsterdam. I am a singer, songwriter and play with a band. Singing my own songs (under the influence of Leonard Cohen, Adele and Joni Mitchell) and trying hard to earn my living as a musician.
Next to this my interests are reading as much as I can, watching movies, going out with friends, cycling through Amsterdam and...(of course) travelling.
My boyfriend Ruben is 25 years old, studying Brain & Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. He will graduate this summer and start as a PhD. student investigating aesthetic preferences in humans. His interests include motor cycling, rock climbing, his Fender Telecaster, movies, music and anything brain related!
Together we'd like to see the world. And more (Preferably by motorbike ;) ).

PHILOSOPHY

It's our goal to stay open and interested in anyone we talk to. This way we keep exploring and developing ourselves while making new friends and plans so we can enjoy life in its purest form.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the past three years we have been hosting couchsurfers in our apartment in Amsterdam and we enjoyed it a lot. We might be busy at times but we are always happy to meet new people and spread our friendship and enthusiasm!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We went couchsurfing in the United Kingdom (England and Scotland), Germany, France and Austria, met wonderful people in London, Berlin, Leipzig and Vienna, made friends, fun and memories.

Interests

Making music (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, piano), writing songs, listening to music, sporting (climbing, karate, running), going places on our motorbike, cooking, going out, seeing concerts, spending time with family and friends. Generally, trying to get the most out of our moments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We went climbing the Masada hill (Israel) in the middle of the night and got to see the sunset from the top. Amazing. On the same holiday we went scuba diving in the Red Sea, Eilat, Israel.
We drove to France on our motorbike and went camping for two weeks.
Been in New Delhi for a week, making music with the children from the slums.
Jumped out of a plane!
