When I ask other people to describe me, most popular labels are 'enthusiastic' and 'infinite energy', so I feel morally obliged to put these words under 'about me'.
Apparently I allllll the nice things that happen to me - having conversations, dancing, playing the violin, meeting new friends, eating ice cream, playing volleyball, writing letters, having dinners with gezellige people, discovering new places, and s i n g i n g - get translated into a fire of enthusiasm and happiness inside me. And, I always hope to be able to share this :)
Furthermore, I want to develop more societal responsibility, get more involved in the world and contribute to sustaining it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The obvious good things about going somewhere new is discovering visibly different things, be amazed, feel small or tall and meeting new people who all have different stories to tell.
A second dimension to this is that learning to understand a new country, city, culture and experiencing new social dynamics - which happens when meeting the people from there - is a good way to reflect on your own beliefs and culture and get more insight into this & put yourself in perspective.

I can teach people Dutch! And I can teach people how to play volleyball or the violin.
I would love to improve / learn languages, and learn new songs and get to know other people's favourite places to go out or calm down
