ABOUT ME

I am 22 years old. I would describe myself as a determined girl, who is enthuastic and loves to challenge herself. I am a caring, patient and get on with a wide range of people.I am a very active person but that definately doesnt take over my life!

John and I have been going out for almost 8 years. We have many different qualities but we come together knowing we are both honest, loyal and have something to learn from one another.

John is 21 years old. He decribes himself as pretty layed back and get on well with every one he meets.He is a quallified carpenter and has a passion for his job.He lives on a farm, making him very much a practical lad.He is born into a long line of a farming family so he is not shy to a bit of manual labour. "I cant really sum my self up into words as literacy is not my strong point but I can promise I am a decent bloke looking to find friends around the globe."

PHILOSOPHY

I live life knowing that whatever I set my mind to I will achieve for example, I wanted to go travelling and university and did both! I wear a smile in order to put one on other's faces. I think you only get one chance so you might as well do as much as possible as soon as possible. I am in no rush to settle down with a family and kids.

John enjoys each day life throws at him because it is the only chance you get.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are new to couchsurfing! The reason we want to participate is to save money whilst travelling. Also, it would be nice to learn from the locals about places to go and culture of the country we are visiting. We hope to gain many quality experiences and meet some lovely new people.

Interests

I like to keep fit by playing hockey, netball, going for jogs etc. I also have a keen interest in fashion, I just love to shop! But doesnt every girl?

John does match shooting, rifle and clay pigeon that he represents the island for.He also loves scuba diving,wood turning and fishing. He has a big interest for anything outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have never been a keen reader.I think this is because I read very slow. My favourite film is Stepmom, the devil wears prada and more recently the Kings speech. Colin Firth is my favourite actor and Julia Roberts is my favourite actress. I enjoy a variety of music but it tends to be what is in the charts, dance and indie music. My favourite singer at the moment is Rhianna.

John's favorite films are action related. He listens to and enjoy anything apart from heavy metal. He is not one for books but does enjoy reading about the natural world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing in my eyes was to complete university with a 2:1, which I am very happy about! An amazing thing I have seen is where the twin towers were and spoke to a survivor from the day! Recently we have both seen orang-utans in the wild. Also, I have been on safari which is amazing.

John at the age of 15 broke the under 21 international javilin and shotput record. He also fired in various rifle and shotgun competitions in success for jersey.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach- We have a wide variety of art and craft skills.Also, we come from Jersey C.I that many have not heard of so that is always a topic of discussion.
Share- What we have learnt via travel and our degrees.
Learn-We want to learn about the places we are staying and how to get the best deals whilst travelling.
