Hi guys!
As you've seen my name is Chantal. I lived in the Netherlands for 25 years and then decided it was time for a change of scenery. The past 2 years I spent living in various places in Australia. While travelling from place to place on my motorbike. With my bike I went around the whole of Australia, which was an amazing and life changing experience. Now the travel bug really got me and I'm moving on, with my motor bike through Asia, all the way back to the Netherlands. It's so exciting!!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through couchsurfing I'm hoping to meet the locals in the places I'll be visiting. Seeing a place as a tourist is one thing, but being able to see a foreign country through the eyes of a local is a much greater experience.

I like variety, love music festivals so I can see and hear a bit of everything. Like to read travel books to get inspired to do more travelling. Favorite movie... Amelie, a french movie with beautiful music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my motor bike through a 100 meter wide, 40 cm deep river that was also inhibited by crocodiles! And no I'm not joking :)

I like to share my knowledge of languages. I'd be happy if I could teach you some English or Dutch. With hosts I can also share my travel experiences. Both within Europe where I grew up and in New Zealand and Australia. I'm big a fan of food, so I'd love to share a meal. Maybe a typical, traditional meal from your country?
