Overview
About Me
I am a videotaped who has made documentaries, music videos and some ultralight low budget fictions of my own. I am on a sabbatical/break from my profession in hope to explore new worlds and civilizations and to boldly go where no one (ugh everyone) has gone before. My hope is to discover the hidden subcultures within the major cultures , especially when it is related to the Deaf culture.
As for myself, I’m quite open minded and easy going and very empathic. Always willing to learn new things and new languages and loves to learn new perspectives taught by the people I encounter. I have a curious mind that is very inquisitive while respecting everyone’s limits and boundaries. No one has to share anything if they are not comfortable to! On the side, I’m also Deaf , communicates visually and through sign language and have 2 sons. (One that stays with his father while I’m travelling and the other that comes with me!) I am also quite liberal and feminist (more specifically humanist) and believe that one can pursue zir dream regardless if one has children or not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Recently, I decided to take a break from my filmmaking profession (doing documentaries and music videos) and to attempt at creating a new lifestyle that revolves around travelling. Since my son is only 1 year old at the moment, I’m going to take advantage of the low flight fares and test travelling solo with my son for a bit more than a month this Summer. I will be in France, Switzerland and possibly Germany as well. For sure, I’d be compelled to do Vlogs of the travel and give tips to parents that travel solo with a child. Hope you are as excited as I am to discover the outcomes of this brave endeavour.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Since I am Deaf, I can teach you sign language (specifically ASL or LSQ) and open you to a word that you probably never truly got to know as the Deaf world is quite a global one and has so much to offer! If you also know sign language, then we can definitely exchange languages and teach each other!
