Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot (and I've moved a lot) and I always enjoy exploring new areas more when I can share the experience with someone. CS has helped me so many times to find those people; I've made new friends at rooftop bars in London, festivals in Tokyo, concerts in Las Vegas, parks in Ohio, and Indian restaurants in California!
I hope to continue meeting new people who want to explore with me so I'm active on hangouts, I've become a host, and I'm starting to also look for hosts when I travel (it's encouraged me to travel "alone" more as I get to meet new friends everywhere I go)!

Music - I have very eclectic tastes in music, introduce me what you're into!
Movies - Some favorites are Wedding Crashers, Save the Last Dance, & Guess Who
Books - Just finished reading Give & Take, it's definitely worth a read! I read a lot of journal articles for my job but enjoy a good book anytime I can relax on a beach or in a cozy cabin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got my PhD in Organizational Behavior, it was a lot of hard work but I love researching how we can help people to become their best selves and encouraging my students to dream big!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're trying to learn Dutch or English, I'm happy to help! If you're trying to learn Spanish or French, I'd love to practice with you!
I love having conversations around just about anything and everything too; so I'd love to sit down and have a long conversation after dinner (in the Netherlands we call it na tafalen) but I'm also perfectly independent and understand that you might have other things to do so don't feel the need to play host if you don't currently have time/energy.
