Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
I vow to work and save and travel and love and create and share and enjoy?
ABOUT ME
hmmmm, left Newfoundland at 17 for the 'big city'....Halifax. Lived in Toronto for a few years, came to my senses and moved back to Halifax. Now working the 9-5 gig, playing as much as possible.
I've travelled a bit, but not enough! Did Europe alone in my mid-20's where a met one of my soul mates, (that crazy Kiwi!). Went to AUS/NZ a few years ago, and off to Africa in Sept/11.
I have a great and expansive group of friends and playmates, and spend my time at one or all of the following places... curling club, hiking trails, The Pond Playhouse (community theatre), Farmer's market, camping, backyard bbq's, gardening, concerts... or what/where ever comes along.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to have an open mind, even when it's hard. Help when I can. Treat others with respect and expect the same. Maintain my optimism without naivity. There is good in the world, we just have to have faith. I hope these rose coloured glasses never break, it's great inside my "purple circle"!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I saw the joy of CS through a friend, met a few of his surfers and I wanted to be a part of the fun and sharing. My first surfing experience will be in Zimbabwe in Sept, maybe I'll host before I go?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, through others, I've shared meals at sunset (with bbq'd corn on the cob, yum!!) parades, markets and some rocking parties.
Intereses
Music, art (esp diy arts n crafts stuff), books, travel (duh!), cooking, making my garden grow, decorating, strange things that people do and figuring out the how and why behind those actions.

Música, películas y libros
I like books that tell a story. Don't they all? No, not really. I like to leave this world and enter another when I read a book. I like to feel like I have experienced something when I close the cover. (A Fine Balance, Life of Pi, She's Come Undone, Book of Negroes)
I like all music... but typically, not country. I love good lyrics, poetic and thoughtful ones. One of my favorite things to do is to get a new cd, sit and listen to it and read though the jacket, word for word. (Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, Elliot Brood, U2, Feist, Def Leppard?
