We are Lia & Echo, two girls born and raised in China.

We met by chance in Thailand in the summer of 2024, and since then we’ve been traveling together across the world. Inspired by a Chinese-American traveler, Gu Yue, who hitchhiked from China to Berlin ten years ago, we decided to challenge ourselves too . After all, some crazy dreams are meant to be done once in a lifetime.

In 2025, we’ve traveled across three continents by hitchhiking, camping in tents, and couchsurfing. We believe that travel is not only about places, but about people. Couchsurfing has given us experiences that money simply can’t buy — real conversations, shared meals, long walks, and time to truly understand a person and their culture. Sometimes, it’s the first time we can slow down and really get to know a place.

Our journey continued through Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, and etc.It took us three months from XinJiang to Nairobi.I think it’s the most treasured memory in my whole life.People around the world are so kind!!!

We are respectful, open-minded, clean, and grateful guests. We’re always happy to cook Chinese traditional meals for you.cleaning, sharing stories, or just being good listeners. We may come from different backgrounds, but we believe kindness and curiosity connect us everywhere.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to host others yet, Because during the past year of registration, I only stayed in China for three months, and there weren't many tourists here. I'd be happy to host everyone, but foreign tourists are only found in big cities in China. But we truly hope to give back to this community in the future.
