About Me
ABOUT ME
Life has only recently given me the means to go outside of my comfort zone and explore the world. I enjoy every opportunity to meet people, strike up conversations and to create new experiences. I'm very interested in learning about cultures and customs as they are so varied and full of rich history and perspectives that you could never come across if you just stayed where you are. Personality wise, my sister always called me a dork, but I'd like to specify that I'm a quite likeable dork.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like many people on CS, to me it just sounds like the better option when travelling. The more people you get to meet the more stories you have, who knows which encounter will be the one to change your life?
Interests
Learning about people and their passion(s), studying Mandarin, expanding the breadth of my knowledge. I particularly find myself enjoying more serious discussions on psychology, philosophy, politics and religion, none of which I'd consider myself to be an expert in, but that were nonetheless catalysts for some of the most interesting conversations I've had.
Also, I'm a big video game fan, so if you are also one, there is a lot going for us :D

Music, Movies, and Books
For music, I'll just link my youtube playlist since it's usually one or two songs from a single artist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=FLa0ePU6E8FmDBZlBEsLQ_5g
I don't have a go-to favorite movie, but Moon, Her, Paprika, Three Idiots and Fargo are really good movies. Some television series I really like include Community (season 1-3), Jericho and Avatar the Last Airbender.
As for books, I haven't been reading much lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing is a bit of a hyperbole, but I took break from my university studies to study Mandarin in China. I think it's pretty cool :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll try my best to answer any questions you have about English, Arabic or French (though it might end up with me saying: "You can't say that, it just sounds wrong")
I can also teach you to tie your shoes super fast or how to make a few simple knots. Really, I don't think I know anything too much in demand, but ask me and if I do, I'll be more than happy to share!
In terms of learning, anything about your culture I want to know (cooking, dancing, history, you name it!). Also since I'm learning Mandarin, if you can converse with me in 普通话 I will be extremely grateful! You might have to be a little bit more patient with me though.
