About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spreading the Love Tribe

ABOUT ME

"You must not lose your faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." -Mahatma Gandhi

My words are my art, my heart, my praise, and my punctuation.

PHILOSOPHY

"I am a woman that came from the cotton fields of the South. I was promoted from there to the washtub...then I was promoted to the cook kitchen, and from there I promoted myself into the business of manufacturing hair goods and preparations. I am not ashamed of my past. I am not ashamed of my humble beginning. Don't think because you have to go down in the washtub that you are any less a lady." --Madam C.J. Walker
________

It looked as though we should all be walking towards the sun. As though there was a pathway leading us in, as though we had achieved perfection in life and the only thing greater was the setting sun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am here to reach out and love and to ask if I can buy you a few drinks, chat, and then snooze on your couch.

If/when I am back in a place capable of hosting, I will gladly ask if you would like to have the favor returned.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not in the strictest sense, but I have crashed on quite a few couches of acquaintances that quickly developed into life-long friends, and vice-versa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So, when working in Ireland, I was in charge of approximately ten horses. That is, working, training, feeding, and the ensuing mess that accompanies the feeding aspect of the job. One of the horses that I was in charge of had a bum leg. Living on the west coast of Ireland, as I was, you have sea ways and bays aptly available. As such, my boss reckoned that the best cure for a bum leg was to soak it in salty water. Thus, as part of my job as caretaker, I was blessed enough to be given the task of first, being dropped off at a beach, second, to hop on to the horse, and third, to ride into the waves while they lapped upon the horse's legs and eventually his stomach until we were swimming in the water. As the sun laughed through the clouds and Mt. Croagh Patrick beamed blissfully among the backdrop of rolling green hills, perfectly constructed stone walls, and fuzzy sheep enjoying the scenery and luscious grass, looking around it was hard to imagine that life could feel any more joyous than at that moment.
