About Me
Hello friends! I'm an outgoing, open minded, free spirit from Canada who loves meeting new people. I've backpacked solo for 8 months in total over the last few years and am super excited to have a travel partner this time around. My boyfriend Kalen and I will be travelling throughout Europe for the next few months before going to New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa sometime this Winter. I've always wanted to live abroad and really immerse myself in a new culture.
I studied Business and my background is in Procurement/Supply Management. I spent the last year working in specialty food distribution and am really stoked to try lots of European cheeses, charcuterie, olive oils, breads, and of course wines and beers right from the source.
One of my goals for this next year is to complete a computer programming project. I've played around with beginner coding in the past (basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript) but want to actually create something and really develop this skills. So if you have any advice or resources I'd love to hear it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last year I went on a road trip from Canada along the West Coast to San Diego with my best friend who was new to Couchsurfing. We had such an amazing time meeting new people together and I love how it opens your mind to other's experiences. I'm super excited to be travelling with my boyfriend this time around and to show him all that is Couchsurfing.
People who have never experienced the culture and the community that Couchsurfing encompasses are truly missing out. I can honestly say that everything Couchsurfing has to offer is life changing. I have had the most incredible experiences and met the best people. I want to keep surfing and spreading the word
because humans are inherently amazing creatures <3
Interests
Yoga is something that I have practised on and off for the last 8 years or so, and it wasn't until last Spring I started practising consistently and it has been absolutely amazing. Feeling your body and understanding alignment is pretty life changing and I love taking about it.
I love to get creative in the kitchen and experimenting with new flavors. I want to get more involved in the local culinary scene in the places that I visit. I have a newly discovered passion for independent films because of their ability to showcase real human emotions that Hollywood blockbusters just do not. I can talk for hours about media and television and how they shape our societal structures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 3 weeks volunteering at a yoga centre in the middle of the jungle in Nicaragua. Experienced some really cool things and learned a lot about myself and people while there.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can do yoga together or I can explain a variety of basic poses and how it can help you and your body. Can explain the benefits of yoga.
