About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel new places and experience new things around!

ABOUT ME

I'm currently based in Madrid, learning Spanish. This is my first time to Europe and I'm eager to see around. Prior to this, I was working in the banking industry in Kuala Lumpur. However, I quit my life there and move to China to study some Chinese (fun fact, I'm a Malaysian Chinese but didn't learn the language until in my late 20s).

I have always the itch of going to new places and trying out new things I've yet to do. Haven't got any chance before but I'm starting slowly. I like taking photos and videos, like random shots, capturing all the wonderful moments I've actually been through. I do simple vlogs and upload them in my channels.

I might be shy when meeting new people, but once we get closer, I can be talkative and funny =) I am an AIESEC alumni, hence that explains friends from all over the world. One day, I hope I'm able to visit everyone in their home country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe expansive accommodation shouldn't be a hinder to travellers to be able to see the whole world. Not only I want to see the world, I want to meet the locals and understand their culture and language.

Interests

I love to travel; to be specific, to be in a place where I've never been. I want to try new things, new food etc. I love recording my travel and experiences, editing them into videos to be uploaded into my Youtube channel. I don't have many subscribers which I don't mind because I made these videos so I can replay them when I'm old to remind myself I had a fun life.

I also like journaling my experiences in a Travelers Notebook; collecting ephemeras, brochures, photos and sometimes sketches. I love stationery and they're the only thing I willing to spend money on.

I love to read, currently on a mission to finish 50 books by end of 2022. Not sure if I can do it but I try!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really listen to music, my favourites are songs from the 1990-2010s, most of them are Chinese and Korean R&B and ballad. However, I realised I start to appreciate jazz (age is catching up LOL!)

I'm not so much of a movie fan either, but I enjoy historical dramas, where I can learn things that actually took place around us.

Same goes for books, I enjoyed fictions based on real life events. Lately I tried to make myself appreciate classics, slowly but hopefully one day I'll get there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
