Overview
About Me
I'm a young man shaping his story and long term trajectory by actively living out my dreams and passions. I'm a recent University of Pittsburgh graduate with a BA in Economics and Communication, having focused on agricultural economics my last 2 years. My 5 year plan is to own and or manage land and work to produce sustainable, organic food for myself and my community, while also creating a space to continue growing ideas I have that revolve around social entrepreneurship. That's why I'm spending Summer 2016 working alongside organic farmers all around the nation. I'm getting boots on the ground experience in organic production practices, community gardening, permaculture, aquaponics, and generally being a positive human contributing to positive feedback systems that will benefit other humans.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing to share spaces with like minded individuals who are willing to help me reduce my carbon footprint, and find safe environments to crash and also share stories while WWOOFing through Summer 2016. The community has come recommended to me from people for whom I have a great deal of respect, and it's something I plan on contributing to in those times I find I have space to share (i.e. any time but when I'm rubber tramping and my only space is my passenger seat!)
Interests
I have a broad array of interests and am actively working on committing to a handful and really digging in. Sustainable living and agriculture, if it isn't obvious from the other sections of my profile, are numero uno at the moment. I've also had 10 years of classical piano lessons and am spending a lot more time practicing when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a few beautiful weeks working a 40 ft sailboat in the Florida Keys and fell asleep on the deck many nights to the sound of a distant thunderstorm and the stars sprawled out in front of me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm building a repertoire of sustainable gardening techniques.
My educational background should provide material for conversation and philosophizing in spaces of mutual understanding and growth.
I would love to discuss any web development, content creation, or editing topics you're interested in. I'm sure the convo will be educational for both.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to contribute to meal prep, and am comfortable working with dietary restrictions due to allergies or ideals.
A lot of my recent experience has made me extremely handy, so if there's a project you would like a little extra help with feel free to ask about the possibility of working together during a stay!
