I'm interested in couchsurfing as I've never really done it before now. I'd like to know more about the places that I go to; especially around Taiwan at the moment and feel I would benefit more by staying with the locals and learning from them as opposed to staying on my own in hostels and hotels.

Plus US bands like the Pixies, Pavement, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and REM. And other classic rock artists like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen.

I used to take part in English Civil War Reenactments back in the day. You'd go camping somewhere for the weekend, get dressed up in 17th century clothes, get given a prop pike or a musket, pretend to have a fight in the afternoon for the amusement of the public and then have some lovely scrumpy Somerset cider in the evening. Great fun.
