About Me

Heres some jokes to break the ice..
How did harry potter get down the hill? walking jk. rolling!
whats the difference between snowman and snowman? snowballs 8D
What did the egg say when it was about to turn up? OM-LIT!

I am a at peace, curious, and determined.
I am about to start my 2nd year of Medical school at Western University of Health Sciences

I love learning about different cultures, longboarding, scubadiving, making videos (educational / traved), photography, clean air (hiking b/c nature is beautiful), and a good sweat. natural endorphins are the best, but I wouldn't be opposed to scotch, tequila, whisky, or beer.

Laughter is the best. memes all day. Archer, adventure time, walking dead, game of thrones, Full metal alchemist, naruto, attack on titan, spartacus!

Having a balanced lifestyle is important to me, so I stay active with yoga, ping pong, soccer, tennis, and cooking / healthy meal prepping.

There is an under-appreciated healing power in food and drink. The communal aspect of the meal is undeniable. Taste and texture, like music, can evoke emotions within us. It has the ability to ignite complex patterns of neural excitation, reminding us of pleasant memories in the past or helping us create new ones. A delicious meal can bring people together, let them forget about the stress of responsibilities for an hour or two and put smiles on faces. By spending time with a loved one at the dinner table, we are given the chance to talk about our worries and joys. Sharing food and conversation allows us to strengthen relationships, overcome misunderstandings, and heal old wounds.

Cooking has always been a therapeutic catharsis for me. I enjoy working with my hands and watching my efforts come to fruition. I love how the colors and flavors of ingredients can be combined in endless combinations when utilizing science and artistic expression. Who would have guessed that my mother was secretly a biochemist in the kitchen all these years – pickling to minimize bacteria colonies, blanching homegrown vegetables to deactivate enzymes, and soaking beans overnight not only to remove gas-inducing oligosaccharides but also to reduce cooking time. The difference between physician and chef is simply the way one applies knowledge of the universal scientific principles governing our world.

While in Cincinnati, I worked at a restaurant helping prepare ingredients and garnishing dishes for a year. I love cooking and exploring the palates of cultures.

I wish to learn about the cuisine of different cultures so that I can help my future patients commit to a healthier lifestyle. It is much easier to prevent someone from developing a chronic disease such as diabetes through lifestyle/nutrition coaching than it is to treat them years after they have developed bad eating habits.

There is no better way to equip yourself with that knowledge than by preparing and eating the foods yourself. When you know a recipe is healthy and tasty, it will be evident in the way that you talk about it. They will certainly be convinced as one wipes aside salivation from excitement =P

Cooking and meal prepping with those with various cultural backgrounds will empower me to become a champion of lifestyle change because the hardest part about getting someone to commit to a healthy diet is making it taste good =)

Teach, Learn, Share

When cooking with firmer Tofu, open the package, drain, then sandwich the tofu between several layers of paper towel and place a weight ( 5 pounds~) ontop to squeeze / dry out the tofu. This makes helps the tofu absorb the liquid you cook it in for maximum flavor!!!
