Overview
About Me
I was born in Venezuela with parents from different countries (Ecuador and England). I grew up in Canada, but moved away for university. I like living in different cultures and experiencing things - more often then not, you get to learn something pretty darn cool. I like learning, I like meeting people, and I hope that my interactions with people will influence them in a positive way, leaving everyone smiling and appreciative of the warm glow we all have inside.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couch surfing because it is something new for me. The new experience I think might have something interesting to teach me, whatever that may be! And I think this goes without saying: that living with a local is far more involving oneself with a new country than it would be in a hotel or hostel. Soon, when i get my own place, I hope to return the favours, by giving my couch to the world.
Interests
I'm interested in a whole range of things, however, if i were to picture a 'normal' day where I could do what I like with no deadlines, then I would most definitely enjoy reading a book somewhere scenic and tranquil. To contrast that, I probably equally enjoy a good party. Life is about balance, I would say. Clubbing is a great way to express yourself and enjoy the birth of morning among the crowds and flowing melody, wavy garments, and sharing the bliss feeling one receives when one hears that amazing song that grips your heart and you cannot help but smile. Oh, the triumph of underground degenerate nostalgia. However on a similar note, chill jazz or some rhythmic world music is perfect for a relaxing listen at home, with friends, or through the headphones as I ride my bike to class/ library.
I enjoy cooking with family and friends, I love to share and receive nice taste along with the attempt to discern good wine from ... well i'm not so picky about wine actually.
Overall I am a pretty chill guy, I enjoy learning about peoples lives when they are passionate about it. We all have something to share one way or another.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite music is prone to change but now its probably disco, jazz, world music, and electronic music. My favourite movies are eye origins, Mr. nobody, and Rock' n Rolla. My favourite books are steppenwolf, siddhartha, zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, and the wisdom of anxiety among the various academic literature I read for my studies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I've done? Well I guess that depends on what is meant by amazing. But I suppose one thing that I find pretty amazing (and quite surprising) is winning the worlds largest game of gaga ball in the world. However I do not know how legit this is anymore. That being the case, I will refer to my second option. I travelled across south america chilling along stunning beaches, hiking mountains around 4000-5000 ms enjoying incredible views and drinking wonderful coco tea.
Teach, Learn, Share
If I were to be asked what I could teach, I would say I could teach people to appreciate the little mundane ordinary things in life so that life is always nice no matter what it is.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some poetry and music with my hosts if they feel like listening. But what would be more useful would be the area of town I live in (presumably). But most importantly, I would love to share a smile with my hosts, however general that may seem.
