About Me
What does it mean to travel? People usually think of beaches. I've recently learned about inward travel (like, exploration of the mind) and I hope that I can find my way. Until then, I will continue to explore everything that this world has to offer.
A cook, dancer, aspiring polyglot, weightlifter, traveler, blah blah blah haha. I'm interested by a lot of things, and the things that people are able to achieve inspire me daily.
One person compared me to a cat. Smart, lazy, clever, independent, sometimes really cuddly, sometimes really mean. I try my best not to be mean though! And I oscillate between states of hard work and laziness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people and I always want to make new friends. I think that is the magic of couchsurfing. I am excited to discover new things from everyone I meet.
Interests
I enjoy a lot of different things, like reading books, breakdancing, drawing, painting, video games, playing guitar, hockey and soccer. I've gotten to like these pastimes as I grew up and just can't seem to give them up. Maybe we can show each other something!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I love books with ideas and powerful messages, whether its Ayn Rand or Marx, Christopher Hitchens or a Case for Christ. I ,was a big fan of fantasy when I was younger, esp. LoTR, Hobbit, Legend of Drizzt. Graphic novels and great stories are cool, I especially liked reading 1Q84 and Asterios Polyp.
Movies: I used to only really like Star Wars, but a movie buff friend of mine got me into watching more. I've recently enjoyed "Her", the Studio Ghibli movies (I love pretty much all of them), "Interstellar", the Matrix...hmm. Brain fart.
Music: real hip hop, breaks, funk, soul, jazz, latin, songs with a guitar in it, house, certain electronic music (there are so many subgenres that I don't understand how to describe them all)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For some people this might read as a list of impressive feats, but I'll just say the thing that continues to amaze "me" is that I'm still alive, with a loving mother, faithful friends, and continued drive to challenge myself & grow. I've met too many who have worse situations than me, and my only hope is that I can help uplift others.
Teach, Learn, Share
Breakdancing is a lot easier than it seems!
I also enjoy cooking. I can show you techniques I've acquired over the short years I've been studying.
I also can show you the basics of playing guitar, drawing, watercolor and oil painting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll cook for you if you want! Or teach you how to dance?
