Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My husband, dog, and I generally keep busy, but we are open to hosting at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have Hosted and Surfed in various locations around the world and find CS to be a really special and unique way of discovering and forging human connections as well as supporting community. Other times, it can be a way to help out an artist or student in need of a place to crash.

We would be happy to host travelers visiting the area, particularly those with shared interests.

Interests

I have a wide variety of interests and an insatiable love of learning. Particularly interested in artistic, humanistic, and spiritual topics. Also general fun (bonheur), and social justice concerns are of interest.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pretty knowledgable in history, philosophy, music and music theory, as well as theology, gender and sexuality/queer studies. Currently taking a PhD from University at Buffalo in the department of learning and instruction.

As a music educator by trade, I can share a lot about those kinds of topics including: instrumental performance, vocal performance, composition, music theory, and improvisation.

Looking to learn more about nonwestern philosophies and spiritualities.
