ABOUT ME

I am an artist by default. I did not set out to be one, thats just how it turned out. I am a musician. I sing and play guitar, currently teaching myself piano. I love to surf. I find clarity and tranquility in the waves and the sun almost as if its some form of meditation for me. I was born 10 minutes from Mexico on South Padre Island. Its a very unique place quite different from the rest of the US and most certainly off kilter for Texas. I have tried my hand in the business world and had tremendous successes and failures. I've decided to put off that world for now and see as much of the world as possible while I have the chance. I have been to a few different continents but the cultural experience was a side bar, I want to make it the main focus now; broadening my perspective of this global community.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to find happiness. I believe that happiness comes from achievement and achievement, to me, is listening to what you really want in your heart and then doing it, whatever it is. To have no regrets, to put everything out on the table. Many say that it is easy to do what we want but I believe that it is the hardest thing to do what we want, I mean what we REALLY want. What I want can not be measured by any monetary instrument or some tangible good, but by the amount of joy in my heart and mind.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I suppose im going to start out by spinning the CS2 wheel and find out where it takes me. Id like to Island hop the South Pacific. I've dreamt of doing this most of my life and CS2 can make it possible I imagine my experience will shape how I participate further down the road. Hopefully my contribution at the least will be a positive impact on other peoples lives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has taken me all through the enchanting lands of Northern California, New York City and Vermont. Through CS I found myself living on farms, making red wine, and camping in redwood forests. Later I was able to make my dream of performing as a music artist a reality in the jungles of New York City. From street and subway performer to shows at Columbia University and in the underground scene of Brooklyn. Now I am in France after a lengthy stay with Jazz musicians in Copenhagen, Denmark. Ready to get lost in the culture once more.....

Interests

Wow, this can be a ubiquitous void! Lets see... music, composing music, traveling, surfing, skiing, hiking, sailing, conversations, reading, riding horses, meeting new people, eating new foods, and on and on and on....
