About Me
Hi there! After working in the Bay, moving to rural Brazil, and coming back to my hometown of Portland, I'm temporarily in the east bay before heading back to South America.
In Brazil, I lived in the interior of Pernambuco, where I adapted to the heat and learned forró. I'm a friendly, easy-going person who loves to talk about everything from literature to sports to pop music.
I'm interested in politics, making art, and creating community. In Brazil I had my first couch surfing experiences, and then I also met some amazing people in Mexico in 2018. I've been inspired by so many people I've met and am looking forward to hosting more as I settle in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Though I'm relatively new to Couchsurfing, I'm interested in creating stronger connections with people in the places that I travel to and live in. I appreciate the idea of participating in the communities you visit and meeting others. I would rather learn about the day to day life of a city than only see the tourist attractions. So many people have opened up their homes and lives to me, and I hope to be able to give that back to others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A friend and I attempted to hike through the Capitol Reef wilderness in Utah after our car broke down, only to get stuck 8 miles in, surrounded by cliffs. We had to hike out many more miles to the ranger's station to try to find food and a ride to the next town over.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some ukulele chords and how to make simple, delicious bread.
