I have a boring job with career prospects to finance all the things I actually care about. This year, I hope to finish my first novel (that I've been working on for years). I'm a bassist in a rock/prog/grunge band, and am setting up a small illustration and T-shirt painting business.
I love cats, good (veggie) food, baking, tree climbing, creepy illustrations, festivals, board games, and new experiences. I'm usually up for anything, especially if it's likely to produce a good story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing for about 7 or 8 years now, which actually make me feel a little bit old. Lots of great experiences and some awesome new friends.

I've surfed couches in Eindhoven, Delft, Rotterdam, London, Brussels, Wroclaw, Krakow, Cologne, Paris, Munich, Ljubljana, Lyon, Milan, Christchurch, Wellington, and New York; I've hosted in Utrecht, Rotterdam, London, and Christchurch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Good sci-fi & fantasy, Beat poetry, the Romantics, Dutch children's books, Murakami, picture books, the occasional comic.
Films: most films by Tim Burton, JP Jeunet, and Studio Ghibli; some musicals, some 80s cult films, some anime. I prefer TV series though.
