About Me

Hello humans!

I hail originally from the deepest, darkest, pseudo-urban corner of the American Midwest - a city known as St. Louis. Having undergone a more-than-ideal-quantity of boredom, however, I managed to orchestrate a daring escape across the vast widths of the Atlantic Ocean. I have since been based in London Town for 6-and-a-bit years (albeit with ample time subtractable due to travel). Now, my girlfriend Tamara (she's the other human in the picture) and I are hitting the road once more, indefinitely this time. We're heading south out of the US, overland to Mexico and southwards and southwards from there. We plan to be "out there" for the next several years and ideally circumnavigate the globe airplane-free. For now though: it is friends, comrades, weirdos, and wanderers (and wonderers) in America Latina we hope to seek out.

"Who are we?" you ask. "What a philosophical question," we answer. "It seems far beyond the remit of a 'describe yourself' page on trustroots."

We are anarchists, that's a big-un. We've been deeply, steeply involved here in London for nigh a half-decade now. We've also squatted in Barcelona, demoed in Paris, and anarcho-weddinged in Montreal, so we've got some wider experience than this metropolis's narrow confines. We hope to find fellow fanatics.

We're musicians and artists. Well.... Tam (that's my girlfriend) is an artist and I attempt to play songs on guitar and banjo. We like music! And we both write. And we both maintain a degree of ill-conceived romanticism about bohemian-types of yore.

We like hitchhiking. It's really cool. I never thought all I had to do was stick out my thumb and people would give me free rides all over the place. Turns out all you have to do is stick out your thumb and people will give you free rides all over the place! I know most of you on here know that already. But no harm in reiterating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've lived in an eco-village Rainbow Community in the Amazon for a week, worked twice in the world's greatest hostel in Belgrade (it's not a normal hostel... trust us), and awaking plentiful times under sun or stars with wonderful views before us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play guitar and banjo and am happy to share my skills.

Tamara is bilingual in Spanish / English.

I'm sure there's more we'll figure out as we meet you all.
