About Me

I'm a singer-songwriter originally from the countryside in England. I'm friendly and easy going and just like to enjoy each day as it comes. I like to share my passion for music with people and I'm curious to see what people share with me in return. I love meeting new people.

I've just come back from travelling for two years, mostly SE Asia and Australia.

Before travelling I was doing well in England as a musician, I've supported some great names (Ed Sheeran, Turin Brakes, Blair Dunlop) been on several BBC radio stations and recorded an album with BMG, the biggest record company in the world... I kept the music going while I was travelling and also became a music teacher in Australia teaching over 30 children and adults each week. I'm a qualified sound engineer and I've worked in two music studios including James Sangers' Vibey Studios in France, where they recorded Keane's 3x platinum album 'Hopes & Fears'! I live for music...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for places where I can park my van and sleep in it in London. I am happy to pay you for the space.

I'm licensed to busk by the London Eye on Southbank. After playing at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in August, I have engineered a new live show where I play as a one man band. I have a storage space in Waterloo where I keep all my music equipment and charge everything, so I really am just looking for somewhere to park up, and sometimes stay in the van overnight.

I can give you music lessons in return! I hope we can become friends and explore London together.

Interests

Hopefully you've got that I love music by now...

I also love juggling and I'm an amateur 3 ball juggler with tricks. I want to incorporate it into my one man band show one day!

I really love some healthy competition including all racquet sports.

I like to have one or two drinks but as a singer I have to keep it chilled. I'm a vegetarian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw David Attenborough do this and it was my dream to do the same!

I sat with a rare Lyrebird in a nature reserve in Tasmania and mimicked it's sounds for half an hour.

Thinking I was another bird, it turned and performed it's famous mating dance.. fanning it's tail feathers and making it's signature incredible sounds. Like a camera shutter.

It was incredible.
